In my last post, I described a recent visit to historic Upper Appomattox Canal ruins and a dramatic aqueduct used to carry the canal and its boat traffic across Rohoic Creek (formerly Indian Town Creek) near its confluence with the Appomattox River. Here is a gallery with more images from the aqueduct and canal ruins. Click the thumbnails to view the slide show and read extended captions about the site.

In my next post, I’ll share some images of historic sites along the trail to the aqueduct site that are not directly related to confluences but interesting and worth sharing nonetheless.
